Meet Adam, the Carbon-12 Atom, and go on a journey with him that starts right from when the universe first began and ends today. He came from a dying star, and his journey through the ages, across billions of years, will open your eyes as you learn what atoms are made from and why Adam is a Carbon-12. You’ll learn fantastic facts about the planets, and how Adam became part of a living, breathing dinosaur – the Tyrannosaurus Rex. All that, and much more, can be found in this amazing book.The Story of Atom by Robert Reisler is one of the coolest books I’ve ever read, and it taught me far more than I ever learned in school. It’s a mixture of sciences, including chemistry, cosmology, and physics, written in an engaging way, designed to help make it easier to understand and, just as importantly, retain the information. It’s a fun story with amazingly colorful illustrations, and packed with facts and wonderful stories that help explain those facts much better than any school textbook ever did. The periodic table at the start is a useful addition, and kids (and probably a lot of adults, too) can learn so much from this. It’s an inspiring book, one that kids can keep forever, passing it down to their children, and so on through the generations. This is what kids should be learning from in schools today; I’m pretty sure they’d learn so much more, because it is such an inspiring book. Read more
